An Evening for High School Teachers @ the Exhibition Space
This is a special evening produced each year for teachers. Our aim is to offer an opportunity to view the exhibition and hear speakers who will inform and offer insight to the exhibition, its content and the world of international news coverage.
Details are still being confirmed, but as each year, participants will enjoy an informative and engaging evening. Speakers will be announced shortly.

World Press Photo 08 Education Material
Each year the World Press Photo in Amsterdam produces education material that may be downloaded from their site. Adobe Reader may be necessary if using Safari or Firefox browsers.
Enter is a free e-publication from the World Press Photo Education Department and is highly encouraged reading. Enter be of interest to anyone who enjoys the exhibition, but will be of specific value and insight for students and teachers in photo and media studies programs.

Location
The Allen Lambert Galleria in Brookfield Place is conveniently located in Downtown Toronto. Click on the Exhibition Venue in the heading for map. Brookfield Place is located between Union and King Street Subway stops.
School bus drop-off is on Front Street.
A Place to Eat?
There is a food court located in the lower level of Brookfield Place.
How Much Time is Required?
All 60 – 90 minutes to view the 185-picture exhibition if the students are to work on an assignment. A winner’s gallery of images if posted online.

Located about a 10 minute walk from Brookfield Place at Front & John Streets, and one of our exhibition sponsors, the CBC offers a few opportunities that might be of interest. All free.

If you find the content of the World Press Photo exhibition powerful and engaging for your students each year, you will also enjoy the Docs For Schools program offered by Hot Docs, North America’s Largest Documentary Film Festival. This is a wonderful and easy program that invites you and your students to attend special school screenings at the Bloor Cinema, or to request documentaries be sent directly to you for screening in your classroom, library or school auditorium during the festival. Online resource curriculum related content is produced for each doc.
